Outreach and training

An important priority of the SYNBIOCHEM Centre is to implement strategies to engage with, train and inspire the next generation of research leaders in SynBio and with wider publics.

Access to a properly trained workforce will be crucial to the roll-out of SynBio approaches to bio-manufacture. To promote and address this need the Centre supports a growing population of post graduate PhD students and Post Doctoral scientists, and hosts a number of training activities.

Public dialogue and engagement is required to promote understanding and acceptance of SynBio more widely and to ensure the research community is able to deliver novel chemical products and production processes that are well governed, widely available and accepted.
